Standard aftermarket replacement petrol tank Sender Unit. We recommend high quality sender 214465-1 which has very stable characteristics and the benefit of an adjustable arm to maximise fuel gauge accuracy. A superior fully adjustable unit can be tailored to suit a variety of tank shapes ensuring accurate fuel level readings. See RTR8514-1 below.

As an indication of what to expect of sender resistance readings, it should read 240 Ohms empty to 20 Ohms full. This number is only an indication and may change slightly with each unit.

Whilst high quality sender unit part number 214465-1 is our preferred sender with an adjustable arm, we also have a fully adjustable unit  RTR8514-1 which is very useful when the fuel tank is a non-standard shape or a reproduction and therefore a different shape resulting in inaccurate fuel level readings when a standard sender unit is used. 

We recommend using Heldite gasket sealant on all petrol joints. 

 

The float is available on its own, order RTR4453. We also have second hand original parts 214465SH available.
