This spider handle kit is an essential fitment when a roll cage with door bars is fitted to a TR4, 4A, 250, 5 or 6 and other car with a similar drive system. Invariably the door bars are so close to the window winder handles that the original handles will not fit at all, and if they can be fitted, they cannot be operated as the winder handle jams on the door bar unless the door is opened to operate the window; not very convenient. These spider handles operate like an aircraft trim wheel; after one arm is operated another arm becomes available above the door bar, so this can be operated, then another and so on so such that full operation of the window is available.

The kit includes two handles, two bosses, fitting instructions and all the fittings to complete the installation. The bosses have an internal square that accepts the winder drive which is 9.5mm square and is secured by a 3.175mm (1/8") pin. Many other British cars of the period use this same drive system so the kit has wider application that just the TR range. As the boss is separate from the spider handle, these can be adapted to fit other winder attachment applications. The boss has a recess to accept a finishing cap. Red caps are most likely to be supplied, however blue or brown are available if ordered with this kit. This is subject to availability. The caps are easy to paint to match interior trim.

These 'Spider' handles are an invaluable addition when the door bars of RTR7267 series cages are in place.
