BETA GRILL

The Beta started life with a standard TR3A grill but as the project evolved a new bolder grill was developed. The Black Beta left the factory with this bold design consisting of horizontal and vertical slats sitting inside a close fitting surround. The Prototype Black Beta registered 917HP is owned by Neil Revington and had its original grill when it came into his possession. The recreation of a Beta registered SCO110B and raced by Neil has a hand made grill.

We have been asked a few times if we can supply such a grill but sadly these are not a production part. This is the situation as of August 2019 but this may change in time.

The grill bars fitted to SCO110B were hand made (longer than necessary) then individually fitted to the front apron. We would be happy to make the bars again and supply the dimensions for the spacing of the bars however the handmade nature of the parts would mean that the bars alone would cost around £1200 plus VAT for a set whilst still leaving the customer to file out the horizontal bars to accommodate the vertical bars and make the end and inter-bar fixings. The outer surround on SCO110B is in fact painted on. The original black Beta has a thin brass surround which would be possible to make in aluminium but the chances of it fitting a selection of front aprons without significant alteration by a proficient metal worker is slim. Please enquire if you wish to explore further the possibility of having a Grill hand made.
