New Car Museum Opens In Taunton

A highlight this month was our attendance at the opening day of County Classics Motor Museum hosted by the one and only Richard Hammond! Sue and Neil had the amazing opportunity of taking the Beta prototype and parking on the double yellow lines in the High Street Taunton, Somerset to be seen by all car lovers around the area in support of the museum opening.  (((link to news item))))

In the heart of Taunton, Somerset, the County Classic Motor Museum is a new venture; a testament to the lifelong automotive romance of its visionary founder and chairman, Patrick Hawkins. 

This journey of automotive devotion persisted throughout Patrick's career, culminating in a dream that lingered in the recesses of his mind: the establishment of a car museum in the picturesque county Town. Today, that dream embodied in the museum, showcases an array of exhibits spanning from the late 1950s to the 1980s for motor vehicles, and from 1915 to the 1980s for motorcycles. Sue and Neil had a chance to view the museum directly before it opened to the public. He Museum is carefully laid out, has hundreds of exhibits and an excellent café. Shopping in Taunton just got way more interesting!
