Grease seal, top of trunnion TR2-TR4 up to commission number CT7218. This is the flat type that suits a flat top trunnion.
From commission number CT7219 an improved seal was introduced, part number 134318, but this design was still not up to the job. With the introduction of the TR4A a completely different conical shaped seal part number 142402 was introduced in conjunction with a suitably shaped trunnion. This later type of seal is also to be found on most aftermarket trunnions for TR2 to TR6.
A SupePro plyurethane version of this later seal is available too.
