Fitted to TR4 from approximately CT18000 on and retro fitted by dealers in accordance with Service Information sheet 2/53, the damper was intended to reduce any vibration that occurred between 2700 and 3000 RPM.

Two types of assembly were provided 144314 for non-overdrive gearboxes and 132604 for overdrive type gearboxes. As neither is available new, we keep second hand parts under the part number 132604SH.
The damper is a large block of steel with a Metalastic type rubber central bush, held onto the back of the gear box with Clip 132607 and to the existing anti-vibration strap 132951 with a horizontal Strap 132608
