The hose has good resistance to oils, greases and solvents, has a reinforcement sprung steel helix, can operate at a temperature of -20°C to +130°C and intermittently between -40C + 150C.
This hose is specifically manufactured for modern automotive engine air intakes and general dust and fume extraction, automotive heating and ventilation and is well suited to cooling vehicle brake linings. (Order 149693-1M which is the same hose in any length up to 10 meters).

Air cleaner feed and attachment details
Standard flexible feed tube 149693 is 3.25" (82.5mm) internal diameter.
The external diameter of the plenum chamber 214804 or 216062 (superceded to 216374) is 3.25" (82.5mm)
The joiner bracket 149306 has an external diameter of 3.125" (79.4mm) which is why it uses a rubber band to ensure the tube is a snug fit. This band is not shown in the parts books and is not available.
As this product is 80mm internal diameter it will fit snugly over the joiner bracket but is a very tight fit over the plenum chamber. However, as the material is very flexible, the hose can be wound onto the plenum in the direction of the steel reinforcement helix to effect an extremely snug airtight connection.
