Strengthened TR5 - PI TR6 throttle pedal. This part is a second hand original pedal, strengthened and then Painted silver. Sold on an exchange basis or outright if no exchange is available.

The TR5-6 PI RHD pedal is prone to bending when the manifold end of the throttle mechanism gets worn and difficult to operate. Commonly on CR cars in particular when the throttle mechanism is set up at idle, the first time full throttle is employed, the throttle pedal bends and the initial setting is ruined. Obviously it is important to get to the root of the problem and ensure the throttle mechanism is in good order (or use our improved kits - see below) but a strengthened pedal is not a bad idea for any car. 

The operating cable is attached to a thin metal plate which can bend. Our modified pedal has an extra bar welded on which links the point at which the cable is attached to the plate you press with your foot. See the photographs to see this clearly.
