This unplated left hand windscreen stanchion Guide Plate is the type that is screwed to the bodywork of TR's 2-3 and has two Dzus fastener springs attached to the back. This guide plate is machined from a bronze casting.

We supply these unplanted fully machined, without chrome plating them. This is our preferred method of supplying these guide plates as having tried them on various stanchions, we find the shape of the stanchions varies a lot, particularly if they have been rechomed at any time and therefore will have been polished. Supplying this part unplated gives the customer the opportunity to file the edge so that it fits your stanchions as well as can be, they can then be Chrome plated or fitted as they are. This part was originally supplied as part number 552818, chrome plated.

 

4 types of windscreen stanchion were used on TR2-3B. We have listed them below along with the appropriate guide used (if applicable) as follows: -

 
552181/2 TR2-3 Chrome plated brass; Dzus type using guide plates 552818/9 or  552818UP/9UP with Dzus spring
560671/2 TR3A Bolt type Aluminium without the need for guide plates
560627/8 TR3A Chrome plated brass; Bolt type using guide plates 552818-1/9-1 or 552818-1UP/9-1UP without the Dzus spring
804511/2 TR3A Bolt type Chrome plated brass without the need for guide plates
