Set of 4 87mm pistons, gudgeon pins and circlips with 4 liners and 2 figure of 8 gaskets kit. Readily available and has proved reliable and capable of handling good power.
We recommend this kit for fast road use.
Piston rings.
Two types of piston ring sets from two different suppliers can be supplied with this kit, both work well but do have slight differences as follows: -
Type A. 1st (top) and 2nd rings are the same, and have the inner champher, which should be positioned upwards. The word on the top may be unclear but is likely to say top.
The champher is designed to exert an outward force on the rings under gas pressure to keep the ring better in contact with the bore.
Type B. 1st (top) ring is plain. 2nd has an internal step that goes downwards.
