TR4 weld on skid shield as used on the works rally cars, can be used on TR2-3B if reduced in width use in conjunction with RTR7159K.

This kit contains the weld on radiator skid shield parts only, which are contained in the full rally strengthening kit. As used on the works rally cars. The skid shield is welded to the chassis in place of the bolt on radiator shield.

The weld on shield extends back only as far as the cross member in front of the sump. To extend protection all the way back to the gearbox, purchase aluminium bolt on shield RTR7159K, which is designed to be fitted with this kit.
This kit can also be used on TR2-3B but the shield will need to be reduced in width to suit the narrower chassis.

Our chassis strengthening kits are based on the strengthening that was applied to the chassis used on the works TR4 rally cars. The full kit RTR7084-2K is an exact replication of the works additions, Revington TR copied and recorded all the modifications, small or large when we rebuilt 4VC and reconfirmed this when we rebuilt 6VC and then 3VC.

Kits RTR7084-1K, RTR7243K, RTR7236-2K, RTR7236-1K and RTR7084-3K are variations on full kit RTR7084-2K as described under each individual part number. See below for details of what this kit RTR7084-3K provides

Strengthening at the front reinforces the following areas:
Radiator shield, extends upwards under the front apron and doubles as an anti-roll bar (sway bar) support
Radiator shield gussets 4 places
