This additional strengthening was added to the Zoom prototype chassis' underside as the chassis was a TR3A chassis lengthened by 150mm. This additional strengthening restored the chassis bending and torsional stiffness due to having been lengthened.


The strengtheners are supplied in 1metre lengths and are welded in place. as the lengthened chassis is 3.5m long, then 7 are required to increase the depth of the chassis from front to back.
Revington TR recommend that these strengtheners are used in conjunction with overall chassis strengthening kits RTR7243K, RTR7084-1K  or RTR7084-2K depending on the rear dampers to be used, the handbrake type and considerations of the general use the car will be put to,
