TR4 early domed glass Rally Speedometer. These instruments are supplied to special order only on an exchange basis against a standard TR4 instrument. They follow the style of the units fitted to the TR4 works rally cars with modifications including the trip slot cut out to form a 'T' section so that the 10th of a mile or kilometre can be read more easily.

Calibration is important when the instrument is expected to be used for rally purposes so we encourage our customers to provide us with a calibration figure so that the instrument can be calibrated to suit your car as accurately as is possible given a mechanical movement. You can find out how to do this HERE. You will also need to tell us if the instrument is to read Miles or Kilometres.

We can either take your instruments for this work to be incorporated along with re-calibration to suit your axle ratio and tyre choice or we can provide an instrument of ours prepared to your specification. In this case a surcharge will be charged until we receive back an instrument suitable for reconditioning.

Please note that our exchange/recondition service assumes the unit returned is reconditionable and not scrap. Our terms and conditioned relating to this can be viewed HERE.

If you only have something substandard to return (or nothing at all) we can discuss the level of extra cost to supply the relevant parts to bring yours up to standard or to supply with no exchange.

Apart from complete refurbishment andrecalibration the following alterations are incorporated unless specified otherwise: -


· The trip slot is cut out to form a 'T' section so that the 10th of a mile or kilometre can be read more easily.

· The rim is painted satin black to reduce glare.

· The needle is replaced with a 'see through plastic' type so that the trip numbers can be read at all times. The original needle tends to obscure the trip numbers at inconvenient times!

· Face calibrated in Miles or Kilometres as required.
