BRACKET REAR Damper TR2 only

This rear damper mount was fitted to TR2 only and is a simple bracket with no stiffeners attached. An improved stronger bracket was introduced during TR3 production from Comm. No. TS8637 and continued throughout TR4 production.

This bracket 107475 was certainly not up to the job and was prone to tearing out of the chassis due to the pivoting action of the rear lever arm damper.

Additional stiffeners are available in the form of those fitted to the TR3-4, part number RTR7289, however a further improvement is recommended in the form of stiffener kit RTR7118K.

TR4 rally cars used the larger dampers (DAS10) and therefore larger and even stiffer mounting bracketry (RTR7043K) which can be substituted on TR2-4 chassis where the work the car is being put to dictates the need.
