This very high quality forged piston suits TR250, TR5, TR6 and 2.5PI as well as other similar engines. This piston is 0.110" oversize, 77.5mm diameter and is supplied with rings, gudgeon pins and circlips.

Forged pistons are generally considered the strongest piston type as the forging process aligns the material grain structure. The nature of the forging process means that pistons produced in this way are usually heavier than cast pistons, but the extra strength is generally considered throughout the tuning market, to be worth the small sacrifice of a few grams of additional weight.
Each piston without rings or gudgeon pin weighs between 240g and 252g.
For example a 75.7mm diameter piston (+0.040") weighs 240g and a 78.00mm diameter piston (+0.130") weighs 252g

These pistons, manufactured by J.E. are made to special order with a 3 week lead time. Other sizes are available; in fact as the pistons are made to special order, any diameter in the range from standard to +0.130" can be made. Full payment will be required with an order.
