A superior quality Radial tyre 185/70 VR 15, Ideal if you want a wider version of a 165 VR 15 with a similar rolling radius. The modern design of this steel belted Radial tyre, with an excellent speed rating and period correct tread pattern, was designed in house by Blockley.
The tyre is a wider version of the 80 profile (i.e. full size) Blockley 165VR15 and a lower profile (70%) than the standard (80%) 185 VR 15
This tyre incorporates a kerbing strip as it is a popular fitment for a Porsche 911, running Fuchs alloy wheels. Some alloy wheels prior to 1968 are not tubeless type, so please check whether you should also need inner tubes.
Please do remember all new tyres need scrubbing in and once scrubbed in great performance can be expected.
This is a very impressive tyre, its construction, with twin steel belts means that the handling is superb and ideally suited to cars with a RevingtonTR suspension package fitted and matched with 5.5" wide wheels.
Every one of these tyres is inspected and checked for dynamic balance - The small painted yellow circle on the side wall can be aligned with the valve stem by the tyre fitter so they know the optimum place to put it.
