This part number covers the cost to reprint the face of a TR2-6 large instrument, speedometer or tachometer. This includes the refacing element of changing a speedometer from Miles Per Hour (MPH) to Kilometres Per hour (KPH) or vice versa as well as the need to reprint simply because the face is in poor condition.

This part number is not a product in it's own right but an additional cost where this additional; service is required when an instrument is reconditioned.. 

If you have an MPH speedometer and would like it to be recalibrated and refaced to show KPH (or vice versa) then this extra charge applies for the part of the service which involves paint stripping the face and completely reprinting it. Please order the correct part number for the MPH or KPH you require and this part number RTR85858 to cover the cost of printing the face and you will get back what you want in exchange for your instrument. The cost of changing the internal mechanical components to read correctly is covered by the overhaul cost.

This charge also applies if a speedometer or Tachometer is returned for exchange and the face of the one you return is not reusable. You will be advised if this is the case for your approval of the additional charge before proceeding. If you are having your own instrument overhauled, you can of course ask for this service to be applied irrespective of the condition of the face of your instrument to ensure it looks like new when returned to you.  

The purpose of this charge is to cover the extra work involved with paint stripping the face, cleaning and preparing the face then reprinting. This process is not simple as the face is not a flat surface, therefore a costly business.
