TR3-4 Left Hand rear damper mount. This improved stronger bracket was introduced during TR3 production from Comm. No. TS8637 and continued throughout TR4 production with stiffeners RTR7289 fitted as standard.

The TR2 bracket 107475 was certainly not up to the job and was prone to tearing out of the chassis due to the pivoting action of the rear lever arm damper.

Although additional stiffeners RTR7289 were fitted to the TR3-4 mounts parts numbers 110788 and 110789 as standard, a further improvement is recommended in the form of stiffener kit RTR7118K.

TR3-4 rear damper mounts are near identical but are handed as they sit an the chassis at a slight angle, due to the chassis being slightly angled from front to back and the dampers needing to sit in line with the centre line for the chassis. The forward facing side of the bracket is deeper that the rear side face by 3mm.

TR4 rally cars used the larger dampers (DAS10) and therefore larger and even stiffer mounting bracketry (RTR7043K) which can be substituted on TR2-4 chassis where the work the car is being put to dictates the need.
