Flexible feed tube 149693 is 3.25" (82.5mm) internal diameter.
The external diameter of the plenum chamber 214804 or 216062 (superceded to 216374) is 3.25" (82.5mm)
The joiner bracket 149306 has an external diameter of 3.125" (79.4mm) which is why it uses a rubber band to ensure the tube is a snug fit. This band is not shown in the parts books and is not available; however 11" (280mm) of rubber strip RTR7041 glued in place will do the trick.
The standard product can quickly deteriorate in the presence of oil and petrol fumes causing it to expand and become a loose fit this allows unfiltered air to enter the engine. In time the hose will split and fall off.
RevingtonTR offer a higher grade hose 149693-1 manufactured from superior stable material, wire supported so that it cannot deteriorate or collapse. See below
