Exchange TR4A-8 High grade diaphragm clutch cover 8.5" featuring a double diaphragm for maximum torque transmission. Pull off pressure 90-110kg. This cover is the highest torque transmitting cover we can offer before going to very expensive multi plate specialist clutches. Sold on an exchange basis.

This is the strongest cover available before moving to the next level of multi plate arrangements, 215mm (8.5") diameter it has a torque capacity when used with RTR1418 and RTR1090 driven plates of over 377NM (278ftlb) of torque. The unique feature of this cover is that it is built with one diaphragm on top of the other thus increasing the clamping load without increasing the pull off pressure.
This cover can also be used in TR2-4 where the flywheel has been re-drilled to accept the diaphragm cover.

Two types of clutch assemblies consisting of a driven plate and a cover assembly were fitted to TR4A, 250, 5 and 6, Borg and Beck being one manufacturer and Laycock being the other. Both Driven Plates and Cover Assemblies are interchangeable. In addition a raised finger version is available which once again is completely interchangeable with all other components listed.

Uprated Release Bearing GRB211HD and a phosphor bronze carrier as well as uprated parts are listed below. A light duty cover is available too. see below

Our reconditioned clutch covers are remanufactured by a specialist clutch manufacturer whose sole business is producing high quality clutch cover and clutch plates. The style of the outer cover may vary.
Once the components have been dismantled, individual reusable parts are prepared and reassembled along with new components as required to build clutches with varying pull off loads. Grading our clutches in this way allows us to ensure clutches supplied under specific part numbers are correct for that job and as the pull off load is directly related to the driver's foot pressure required to operate the clutch, customers experience the correct 'feel' when the cover is installed.
