Bronze version of inlet Valve Guide fitted to TR2-6 inclusive. Also used in the exhaust position on TR4 from CT27411 and all TR4A.

Suitable for valves having a shaft diameter of 5/16" (7.94mm), the guide has an outside diameter of 0.5025" (12.76mm). The guide is 2.0625" long

This part is used in all Valve Guide kits for TR2-6 listed below. The standard version of this guide is 058923

Note that valve guides are supplied with the I/D approximately 0.003" undersize so that once fitted they are honed out to be a perfect fit to the valve stem. This guide is actually 0.309" I/D likewise the O/D is 0.003" oversize to ensure an interference fit in the cylinder head

108239 EXHAUST VALVE GUIDE TR2-4
Standard steel exhaust Valve Guide fitted to TR2-4 up to CT27410. Suitable for valves having a shaft diameter of 3/8" (9.53mm), the guide has an outside diameter of 17/32" (13.49mm). The guide is 2.0625" long

The Bronze version of this guide is RTR1163 which is used in the Valve Guide kit for TR2-4 listed below
When an exhaust valve with a 5/16" stem is to be fitted a special guide is required with an internal diameter of 5/16" and an outside diameter of 17/32". Order 136575, RTR1206 or set RTR1049.

Note that valve guides are supplied with the I/D approximately 0.003" undersize so that once fitted they are honed out to be a perfect fit to the valve stem. Likewise the O/D is 0.003" oversize to ensure an interference fit in the cylinder head

For reference a TR4A head has guides to suit 5/16" valves with an outside diameter of 0.5025" (12.76mm) in all 8 locations.
