This part number covers the additional cost to convert a TR2‑6 Gearbox to Stag type incorporating roller thrust layshaft bearings
This additional cost covers the addition of roller thrust layshaft bearings whilst a gearbox is being rebuilt. This process is based on the Stag unit which has roller thrust bearings s at either end of the laygear and is capable of withstanding much more torque than the standard TR gearbox. As TR engines are well above stag power and torque these days, this is a worthwhile modification for the most powerful cars.
