After 20 years in the elements I expected the body work to be in much worse condition. The front right corner of the car took the brunt of the hit in 1997, it was repaired with a section from a new/reproduction panel. Other small repairs were welded in, the largest of which was in the L/H foot well. Everything else on the body tub is sound and had survived 20+ years of neglect outside.

After all the obvious damage and rust had been repaired the body was taken for media blasting along with the frame (a mix of sand and plastic beads was used here). The tub was then immediately put into epoxy primer to prevent flash rust.
